The space

The ground-floor Vermeer Room is inspired by the Girl with the Pearl Earring and is swathed in deeply pigmented blues and blacks with exquisite gold accents. You’ll feel every bit the Dutch master’s muse as you sweep across the sumptuous rug to gaze out the ceiling-high window at the canal. The Vermeer room is quipped with a private bathroom with rain shower and all the little extra touches you would expect of a premier bed and breakfast.

The neighbourhood

The Historic Canal Suites are located within a quick walk of must-see attractions like the Anne Frank House, the Royal Palace, de 9 Straatjes or the 9 Little Streets, the Jordaan and Dam Square. You’ll also be close to the main shopping area, not just the famous boutique shops of the 9 Little Streets but also all major brands including luxury retail stores. If you want to venture beyond the city centre, the Historic Canal Suites are just a two-minute walk from a tram stop that connects you to the rest of the city.
In the middle of everywhere you want to be yet still in a quiet residential area, the Historic Canal Suites truly have it all for a once in a lifetime trip to Amsterdam.

Other things to note

We have two bikes that can be rented for €10,00 per day. Both suites feature free WiFi, 40-inch flatscreen TVs with Netflix and Spotify, king-sized beds with luxurious Egyptian cotton bed linens and a pillow menu so you can find just the right level of comfort. The suites are also outfitted with minibars, Nespresso machines and kettles. Clothing steamers, hair dryers, complimentary toiletries, bath robes and bath slippers are also provided for your convenience. These accommodations are perfect for couples who want a trip to Amsterdam full of romance, culture and quiet elegance.
